Google’s next game-changing mobile device features a new punch-hole display. Not one, but two major leaks have surfaced about the tech giant’s third-generation foldable flagship, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold – one shows us the true power of its performance, the other gives a first glimpse of the design.
Performance leak: Geekbench shows off the power of the Tensor G5.
The first leak surfaced on July 10 with Geekbench scores confirming that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is a powerful device. The gadget scored 2,276 points (single-core) and 6,173 points (multicore) – these are quite impressive numbers, especially when compared to its predecessor.
But the real deal lies behind it: Google’s new Tensor G5 chipset, made with a cutting-edge 3nm process by TSMC. This is the same tech partner that Apple relies on for its high-end silicon.
So, what makes the Tensor G5 special?
It is an octa-core processor with:
• 1x Cortex-X4 prime core @ 3.78 GHz
• 5x Cortex-A725 performance cores @ 3.05 GHz
• 2x Cortex-A520 efficiency cores @ 2.25 GHz
It is clearly aimed at power users, with 4GB of RAM and Android 16 just like the HTC One M9. While the chip’s GPU is yet to be confirmed, the internet is abuzz with the news that it has a Power VR Series D GPU running at speeds of up to 1100 MHz, which would outperform even the latest batch of And3d XYZP chips and assuage initial concerns.
Design leak: Real prototypes surfaced on the web
And while the benchmarks give us a glimpse of what is inside, the second leak that came just two days before the launch was far more significant: real images of a Pixel 10 Pro Fold prototype, which were spotted on Chinese auction site Goofish. Although this is a pre-production model, the images still reveal a number of interesting design highlights:
• Thinner and more symmetrical bezels on the foldable display
• Hole-punch style selfie camera on the main screen – no under-display camera here
• A smaller camera bar on the back – slimmer and sleeker than the extremely thick one on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold
• Google’s iconic “G” logo retained
Pixel 10 Pro Fold: When?
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will reportedly be announced in early August 2025, possibly at Google’s fall hardware show. It will arrive alongside the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL, so it will be a big launch, and a potential game changer for the company.
What is the big picture?
These two leaks, combined with comparative performance and an in-construction prototype, paint a compelling picture of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold:
