Weather advisory for Prince George has ended. You can take a deep breath, Prince George: Environment Canada has cancelled the thunderstorm advisories issued Friday afternoon. A severe thunderstorm watch was issued shortly after 4 p.m., briefly promoted to a warning, then downgraded within the hour.
The alerts may be off, wet weather is not. Showers could persist through Friday evening, with a small chance for more thunderstorms. Winds will settle tonight as temperatures drop down to 13°C.
Saturday continues the unsettled pattern. More showers are predicted, as well as a chance of afternoon thunderstorms. 10 mm possible with 5 to 10 mm possible. The wind from the north gusts to 40 km/h and a high of 22°C will feel more like 25 with the humidex. The UV index is a moderate 3.
There may be cloudy breaks and a 30% chance of more showers on Saturday night, as temperatures drop to 9°C.
Things began to improve Sunday. A chance of showers, and some mix of sun and clouds with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of 24°C. Sunday night will be clear with cloudy periods and a low of 12°C.
Hold on to that umbrella, but brighter skies are in store.
